Writing Again

Due to some issues at a basic level, I had to change and cancel my subscription to Pika. I really appreciate the folks there helping out. I had this domain for a long time and decided to go back to using 11ty for writing again. I faced the fact really I had to be able to write but I also had to take of an emergency need we had. That’s been taken care of and I started thinking about how I really want to write. I loved writing on Pika and I appreciate them refunding the money for the account since I needed it rather quickly. It does not sound like a lot of money but we live on a fixed income here and it made the difference for us in a very basic way.

Writing on Pika was a joy. I had a great time just using the micropub support with iA Writer. So what I decided after some reflection was to just change things again and go back to 11ty for writing. I enjoy using a static site a lot and I ended up being able to start writing again for free. I could not face not writing. So here I am writing again.

I met the need we had that we could not wait for. Never play with blood pressure medication for someone you love. I had to do what was needed and it all worked well. What I was left with was not having a place to write. I deleted my Pika account after Barry helped me out. I wanted a fresh start yet again. Eleventy always seems that way.

I’ll be writing I guess much like before. I spent this morning thinking through things walking my walk and having a coffee out. I know I have to write. This is just another step and stop for me.
